Akumina, the maker of the InterChange user experience software for SharePoint, today announced it has appointed David Maffei as its chief revenue officer. Maffei was most recently vice president of sales at Carbonite Inc. Prior to Carbonite he held senior executive sales and channel positions with CMS industry leaders Ektron and Bridgeline Digital. As CRO, Maffei will be responsible for leading the growth of Akumina’s global revenue, both direct and through the channel, as well as developing strategic business relationships across the Microsoft ecosystem.

While at Carbonite, Maffei was in charge of the company’s direct and channel sales teams as well as the channel marketing organization all of which produced significant revenue growth and explosive channel-industry awareness through single and multi-tier distribution channels. While at Bridgeline as SVP of global business development, Maffei was responsible for driving the success of Bridgeline's global sales organization. At Ektron, Maffei built a global sales organization that grew total company bookings from $7M USD to $50M USD from 2005 to 2011. Maffei has received numerous honors and awards for his achievements, including 2015 CRN Channel Chiefs, 2015 The VAR Guy’s Top 50 Channel Influencers, 2014 CRN Top 100 Sales Executives and ranked 3rd overall in the 2015 Talkin’ Cloud 100 Honorees.
