Albert Einstein once said, “Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.”
That quote sums up the Akumina story pretty well, I always thought. When we built this company, Ed Rogers and I weren’t aiming for success. Our goal was to provide true value to globally dispersed, highly diverse enterprise organizations through technology.
That’s why I’m so proud to share that Akumina was named a Strong Performer in The Forrester Wave™: Intranet Platforms, Q2 2020 report.
About the Report
Forrester, one of the most influential and well-respected research and advisory firms worldwide, evaluated several intranet platforms against 26 criteria, ultimately ranking the top 12 in their WaveTM report.
The evaluation, which takes into account product offering, overall strategy, and market presence, is one of the most valuable resources for organizations researching intranet platform vendors. We believe that our ability to delivery highly personalized and deeply integrated intranets, portals, dashboards, and hubs without design limitation contributed to our performance in the evaluation.
How Did We Rank?
When we were invited to participate in the Forrester Wave evaluation a few months ago, we knew we could place successfully. We weren’t disappointed.
Akumina was ranked as a Strong Performer, receiving the highest scores possible in seven criteria, including Personalization, Integration & Interoperability, and Design Tools.
“Personalized Communications, Design Tools, And Dashboards Are Key Differentiators. Aging on-premises intranets are dying. Cloud platforms with flexible content and communication creation and delivery options will lead the pack. Vendors that provide granular personalization, design and templating tools, and integration with top productivity suites are revitalizing this market.”The Forrester WaveTM: Intranet Platforms, Q2, 2020
The Akumina platform combines powerful personalization tools with complete freedom of design, API-based integration capability, and easy content creation and publication. Our customers have used to create modern intranets, employee portals, and digital hubs that provide a single, centralized point of access to all of the task-critical tools they need to do their jobs. The result we’ve seen is increased employee satisfaction and engagement, and overall productivity.
“Our intranet has become a unified, personalized platform connecting our employees to tools, information and each other. It empowers employees to take action, find solutions and share knowledge and experiences,” says Keith Kratochvil, Enterprise Architect at long-time Akumina customer the Principal Financial Group.
