Key Findings from the Report
- "The intranet has a central role in improving employee experience, supporting and engaging employees through the pandemic and facilitating a more flexible future of work.
- Organizations recognize the intranet’s various, distinct purposes, including employee engagement, employee services, application aggregation and access, knowledge management and collaboration. This is because each has its own business stakeholder, its own goals and motivations, its own measures of success.
- Intranets provide a common foundation of services that span the broader digital workplace, providing a platform to harmonize, integrate and augment digital workplace applications.
- A traditional destination style intranet website is ill-equipped to support the above requirements. A modern intranet is needed, one that provides its services to both frontline and office workers in whatever context, device or application happens to be in front of them. It must provide push and pull information and services. It must offer a primary front door and many side doors for entry."
