Akumina has added Newsletter to our Broadcast Center which will allow communications to be sent to targeted users emails. The Newsletter will allow users to include a custom Messaging and existing News content to be included in communications. Let's take a look at the process to create a News letter!

Creating a Newsletter

On the Akumina Module click on the Broadcast Center button. Then click Create Email Newsletter

1. Setup Newsletter

   Subject: Subject of newsletter

   Newsletter Type: Select a broadcast Center Type (Types are created on Central site> Management Apps> Akumina Flow designer)

   Additional Languages: Select other languages besides default site language for communication

2. Select Recipients

   Azure Active Directory Groups: Choose an existing Azure Active Directory Group for selecting recipients.

   Personas: Target users based on user's Persona. Click here to read about personas

   Specific Users: Choose individual users to pick as recipients

   Query Builder: Build a query based on user properties to target users with shared properties

   Everyone: This will send to all users in the system may cause heavy load on your SMTP server

3. Create Email

   Subject: Newsletter email subject

   Message: Craft a rich text message to be included in the Newsletter email

   Intranet Content Sections: Select existing Intranet Content or Create a new item

   Add New Section: Allows ability to add new sections to Newsletter

   Footer Message: Message that will appear in the body of the email underneath the featured content lists.

4. Sending options

   Sender: Designated sender of the Newsletter

   Additional Languages: Select desired language versions

   Sending Settings: Broadcast Center allows for instant delivery or a scheduled delivery

   Database Expiration: Period when Newsletter data will be cleansed from the database server.

5. Submit Newsletter

   At this final step you have the ability to preview your newsletter. Select to preview the Newsletter in a Mobile or Desktop experience and click Generate Preview. Once you are satisfied with the preview you can send a test email to yourself or hit submit and send out the news letter.
