Recent News Widget
Purpose
Displays the most recent news from the FoundationNews_AK list based on user profile data.
Features

- Displays most recent news articles with image, category tag, title and publish date
- Display has three categories:
- All – shows all items
- Departments – shows items based on the current user’s department
- Local – shows items based on the current user’s city
- News items are ordered in descending order with latest news items shown first
- Item is hyperlinked using the FriendlyURL to the dynamic display page for the content
- Mobile-ready via Responsive Web Design

| featured | Checkbox to set it item is featured or not |
| HubNewsCategory | Managed Metadata for tagging |
| PublishedBy | User who is attributed to the article |
| Job Title | Job title of user who is attributed to the article |
| Add Attchment | Attached file associated with the news article |

| Selected list columns | Columns in the SharePoint list that the widget is utilizing | |
| Cache Interval | Sets the time, in minutes, that the data should be saved in the local browser cache of the current user.
· 0 = Do not cache the data for this widget · -1 = Use the default caching strategy set via Site Creator Whole Number = Cache for specific time, in minutes |
